OBJECTIVE
At the core of Nissan’s ethos are innovation and a commitment to quality, and they sought to embody these values in their showrooms. Since 2014, Nissan has relied on Mood to install and continually enhance their retail design concept across more than 1,400 showrooms in 35 countries, with new locations being added annually.
SOLUTIONS
DIGITAL KIOSKS & SCREENS
Mood redesigned the “Welcome Unit” digital kiosk with a sleek, slim-line form to minimize its impact on sight lines while prominently featuring the Nissan vehicle of the moment at the entrance. This design serves as both a focal point and a bold statement of Nissan’s brand intent.
In the heart of the showroom, arrays of 55” and 65” screens captivate customers with dynamic content that celebrates the Nissan brand. These screens energize the showroom environment and guide customer flow throughout the space.
High tables equipped with 43” POS screens offer a modern, paperless solution for point-of-sale communications and product launches, providing a fresh, interactive touchpoint for consumers.
In the customer lounge area, a 50” screen at the “Refuel Unit” displays engaging content about Nissan’s latest innovations, enhancing customer interaction and providing an informative distraction while they wait.
SHOWROOM MUSIC
Nissan’s showroom music strategy focuses on embodying modernity, technology, allure, comfort, pleasure, and performance. The custom playlists curated for Nissan create a sophisticated and non-intrusive soundtrack that enhances the customer journey from the moment they enter the showroom.
Given Nissan’s global presence, a unified approach to their soundscape was essential. Two of Mood’s music design teams collaborated to develop a cohesive sound identity that resonates with Nissan’s global brand values while offering a tailored, dynamic experience for local audiences.
The Mood Music Design team partners closely with Nissan, conducting quarterly creative reviews to ensure the music strategy aligns with the brand’s evolving needs and maintains its desired image. Additionally, all tracks are meticulously screened to ensure they are free from explicit or suggestive content, maintaining a family-friendly atmosphere.
CAR CONFIGURATOR “DESIGN LAB”
The Design Lab offers an immersive in-store personalization experience, allowing customers to build, customize, and accessorize their ideal Nissan vehicle. Mood implemented a range of interactive displays to enhance this experience:
Accessory Screens: Strategically placed screens showcase the fully customized Nissan vehicle on a large display, offering a dynamic visual of the customer’s personalized car.
Tablets: Wall-mounted or fixed-table tablets, depending on the dealership layout, provide an intuitive interface for customers to easily configure their car and explore various options.
This setup ensures a seamless and engaging process, allowing customers to visualize their choices and make informed decisions in an interactive and user-friendly environment.
NISSAN CITY HUB SHOWROOM
In 2019, Nissan introduced its first City Hub, a cutting-edge concept blending e-commerce with a physical store, located near Vélizy 2, a popular shopping center in Paris. Nissan sought Mood’s expertise to craft an exclusive and immersive experience that aligns with Nissan’s vision for the future of mobility and appeals to a broader demographic. Mood’s approach transformed the City Hub into a state-of-the-art “phygital” space through:
Interactive Screens: Strategically placed to offer engaging call-to-action content, allowing customers to explore the brand at their own pace.
Ultra-Definition LED Installations: Spanning from wall to ceiling, these installations showcased futuristic and elegant animations, creating a captivating atmosphere and drawing customers into the store. The extensive use of LED technology was designed to dynamically alter the space, with visual content carefully tailored to enhance the overall ambiance.
Personalized Service: Nissan associates, equipped with tablets provided by Mood, enhanced the customer experience with personalized service and a human touch, ensuring a comprehensive and engaging interaction.
This multi-zone approach and advanced technology effectively redefined the showroom experience, making it a landmark in Nissan’s retail innovation.
