ABOUT THE VERVE HOTEL

Managed by the Distinctive Hospitality Group (DHG), The VERVE is a chic and upscale full-service hotel aimed at delivering a memorable experience in the greater Boston area. Featuring elegant accommodations, exquisite on-site dining, stunning meeting and event spaces, and exceptional service, The VERVE is dedicated to fulfilling every need and surpassing every expectation.

THE CHALLENGE

Following successful collaborations on other AAA Four Diamond properties, DHG enlisted Mood’s expertise to elevate the newly renovated VERVE into a vibrant downtown hub celebrating pop culture and a contemporary twist on American hospitality and cuisine.

THE APPROACH

Mood partnered with DHG’s architects and interior designers to transform 1600 square meters of public space, crafting an immersive, stylish, and sophisticated environment that resonates with guests and complements the property’s high-concept redesign. A dedicated team of Mood technicians executed the audio and video design, bringing it to fruition in under 90 days.

THE RESULT

In the newly transformed VERVE Hotel, guests are immersed in a vibrant atmosphere through a custom music soundtrack that blends hits from the 60s, 70s, and 80s with nostalgic TV theme songs. This auditory experience is delivered by a custom designed Bose sound system, which includes high-performance speakers, ControlSpace digital signal processing, and PowerMatch amplifiers, ensuring exceptional sound quality.

The hotel also boasts a unique live music venue equipped with a concert-quality stage and audio setup, including a 48-channel Yamaha mixing console, designed to support live performance events.

The sensory experience is further enriched by a comprehensive digital signage and television network. HD displays, including two e-posters, are strategically placed throughout the lobby, Violet Thorn Bar, and Pantry Restaurant. In the restaurant, select screens showcase excerpts from classic cooking shows, while a rolling montage of movie and TV clips is projected onto a lobby wall. All audio and video systems are seamlessly integrated using a Crestron control system and a custom Mood interface.
