Operated by Distinctive Hospitality Group (DHG), The VERVE is a stylish and upscale full-service hotel focused on creating a memorable experience in the Boston area. With elegant rooms, delicious on-site dining, impressive meeting and event spaces, and exceptional service, The VERVE is dedicated to meeting every need and exceeding every expectation.

THE CHALLENGE

After successful collaborations at other AAA Four Diamond properties, DHG hired Mood to elevate the newly renovated VERVE into a vibrant downtown gathering place - paying homage to pop culture and a modern interpretation of American hospitality and dining.

THE APPROACH

Mood worked with DHG's architects and interior designers to transform 1,600 square meters of public space into an immersive, stylish and sophisticated environment that appeals to guests and complements the hotel's conceptual redesign. A dedicated Mood team carried out the audio and visual design and completed the project in less than 90 days.

OUTCOME

In the newly renovated VERVE Hotel, guests are enveloped in a vibrant atmosphere thanks to a customized music program that mixes hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s with nostalgic TV vignettes. This audio experience is delivered by a customized Bose sound system with high-performance speakers, ControlSpace digital signal processing and PowerMatch output stage, ensuring exceptional sound quality.

The hotel also has a unique live stage with concert-quality equipment, including a 48-channel Yamaha mixer, specially designed for live performances.

The sensory experience is further enhanced by an extensive digital signage and TV network. HD screens, including two e-posters, are strategically placed in the lobby, Violet Thorn Bar and Pantry Restaurant. In the restaurant, selected clips from classic cooking shows are shown, while a rolling cavalcade of movie and TV clips is projected on a wall in the lobby. All audio and visual systems are seamlessly integrated via a Crestron control system and a customized Mood interface.
