Since 1982, Pandora has been a global leader in high-end jewelry, known for elegant designs at accessible prices. With over 2,100 stores in more than 100 countries, Pandora is committed to providing a consistent and exceptional customer experience - no matter where you shop.

THE CHALLENGE

As a fast-growing franchise with a focus on global consistency, Pandora wanted to ensure that each store offered the same atmosphere and customer experience worldwide. However, prior to partnering with Mood, many of Pandora's stores lacked consistent music, leading to an uneven brand experience that didn't fully capture the essence of their brand.

In addition, Pandora wanted to maintain its competitive edge by implementing an innovative digital signage solution that could effectively showcase products, drive sales and enhance the overall store environment. The solution needed to include digital media players, software, content development and ongoing support.

For Pandora, it was crucial to partner with an experienced supplier that offered end-to-end solutions, global reach and professional installation. Mood delivered on all counts and became the end-to-end supplier Pandora needed to enhance the retail environment in all its stores.

THE APPROACH

With extensive experience in franchise-based organizations, Mood understood exactly what Pandora needed: a partner that could implement a consistent brand standard across all stores.

To achieve this, the Mood team worked closely with Pandora to gain a deep understanding of the brand's personality, business objectives, target audience and desired store environment. With these insights, a dedicated Mood Music Designer worked closely with Pandora to create bespoke music programs that perfectly reflected Pandora's stylish and welcoming feel.

Next, Mood's visual experts developed engaging digital signage solutions, complemented by interactive tablet stations that further deepen customers' experience of the Pandora brand. This holistic solution ensured that every Pandora store, regardless of location, delivered a consistent and engaging atmosphere that truly appealed to customers.

THE SOLUTION

MUSIC

Pandora's in-store experience is based on two tailored music programs, carefully selected song by song. The programs combine modern pop with classic vocal jazz, creating a vibrant and luxurious sound that reflects Pandora's brand identity. The music contributes to a soft but uplifting atmosphere that is fully in line with the Pandora brand.

Programs are updated every 60 days via Ethernet, ensuring that the music is always current and appealing to customers' tastes. All songs are fully licensed and vetted for commercial use, with Mood's global licensing team managing the purchase of international music rights.

SOUND SYSTEM

To enhance the store environment, Pandora collaborated with Mood on professional sound design, equipment and installation. The sound system consists of top-of-the-line equipment from well-known brands like Bose and Lowell, and Mood's certified audiovisual system experts ensure that the audio experience is optimized for each store's unique design.

DIGITAL SIGNAGE

To increase customer engagement, Mood developed and implemented the following digital signage solutions:

ICON Frame: Featuring 85" and 32" Samsung commercial screens, this eye-catching digital display creates a strong visual focus on seasonal and promotional products, enhanced by dynamic graphics and video production. All content is produced by Mood's in-house visual designers and the hardware is expertly installed by local Mood technicians.

Interactive tablet stations on crafts: These interactive tablet stations allow customers to explore the Pandora brand story, with videos showing the meticulous craftsmanship behind Pandora jewelry. Each station is equipped with Klipsch over-ear headphones for an immersive audiovisual experience that deepens customers' relationship with the brand.

THE OUTCOME

The partnership with Mood has enabled Pandora to create a store environment that fully reflects their luxurious and stylish brand identity. The consistent atmosphere across all stores is achieved through centralized management of music and digital signage content via Pandora's headquarters, using Mood's user-friendly web-based control platform.
